GORDON D’ARCY’S ART is inspired by nature. He has been drawing and painting since childhood. Birds are the main theme but he also depicts plants, animals and landscapes and other nature themes stimulated by travels in Europe, Africa and America. Much of his early work is realistic but latterly it is stylised and influenced by design. He works in several media including oil pastel, acrylic, water colour and scraperboard. He has held several EXHIBITIONS since 1983 in Ireland, the UK and America.
His works include commissions for public art work for Local Authorities and communities. His many poster commissions include work for the Irish Peatland Conservation Council and Department of Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht.
